A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE ESSENTIAL ROLE
OF COMMISSIONED MINISTRY AS AN AUTHORIZED MINISTRY OF THE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

As a part of AUCE’s continuing support of Commissioned Ministers serving as Christian Educators, AUCE has joined with other partners to create a resolution supporting commissioned ministry. The resolution will be presented to the General Synod of the United Church of Christ in 2003. AUCE is currently seeing additional sponsors for the resolution. For more information, contact, Ruth Hainsworth, AUCE chairperson.

Health effects and impacts of tobacco on children, teenagers, and their families

The Association for United Church Educators was a co-sponsor of a resolution passed by General Synod in 2001. The resolution deplores smoking addiction among youth, urges congregations to sponsor self-help groups and educational programs for youth addicted to tobacco.
